Summary: Performs the timely completion of assigned repair, warranty and preventive maintenance service on automobiles by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Retrieves customer vehicles into service area for service.*
- Reviews service orders and inspects vehicles accordingly for additional repairs or malfunctions by test driving or troubleshooting vehicle operation.*
- Applies technical knowledge to diagnose cause of vehicle malfunctions.*
- Obtains final approval prior to performing additional repairs.*
- Responds to repair inquiries in a prompt manner.*
- Performs repairs and maintenance service work requested in accordance with approved quality and efficiency standards.*
- Applies knowledge and ability to safely utilize all tools and equipment to include:
- creeper
- pneumatic and hand tools
- brake lathes
- tire mounting/balancing/alignment machines
- pressure washers
- hydraulic jacks
- welding equipment/torches
- vehicle lifts
- diagnostic equipment*
- Retains and tags removed parts under warranty for return to manufacturer.*
- Test-drives and assures proper operation of all vehicles in accordance with Department of Motor Vehicle standards.*
- Completes vehicle inspections according to established procedures.*
- Completes service related paperwork in detail and legible format.*
- Maintains technical competence by attending all classes and shop meetings as requested, and reading all service bulletins to maintain needed skills.*
- Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner to meet safety requirements determined by dealership and government agencies.*
- Maintains time clocks in accordance with every job completed.*
- Discards residual waste or hazardous materials using the proper disposal methods.*
- Maintains training as required by factory or service manager.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates and Licenses: Inspector's License (within required time frames)
Valid Driver's License

Reports To: Service Manager FLSA Status: Non-ExemptSummary: Renovates used/new & customer vehicles in accordance with the dealership’s quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery & poor mechanical operation.
- Buff out & or polishes scratches & retouches with enamel.
- Communicates physical damage or visual imperfections to management.
- Resolves vehicle malfunctions and imperfections in coordination with the Service Department.* ·
- Clean & detail under hood & interior including all compartments, clean glass, and mirrors inside & out, clean seats.
- Washes & polishes vehicle exteriors.
- Maintains supplies on hand.*

Job Title: Paint Shop Technician Apply for this job nowReports To: Body Shop ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSummary: Responsible for the paint and detailing of vehicles as assigned by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following: - Performs application of materials on vehicles according to appropriate time standards.
- Grinds and sands surfaces of various materials.
- Prepares auto body surfaces using proper chemicals.
- Applies special materials to automobiles to include paints, undercoats, primer coats, sealers, topcoats and caulks in accordance with original manufacturer standards of quality.
- Wears appropriate safety equipment to include fresh air spray masks, paint suits, safety eyewear, safety gloves and head coverings.
- Uses and disposes of hazardous materials to include thinners, solvents and paints according to safety procedures.
- Uses equipment according to safety guidelines to include exhaust fans, heaters, compressed air systems, spray guns and paint mixing machines.
- Reads material safety data sheets and other reading materials to stay current on safety issues and paint technology.
- Moves vehicles within shop area as jobs are completed.
- Reports any malfunctions of shop equipment to supervisor immediately.
- Performs shop equipment maintenance each day to include cleaning filters, adjusting air pressures and washing down equipment.
- Cleans the Paint Shop Department.
- Maintains inventory and notifies Supervisor of any stock shortages.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
